This project at Fayegate, West Sussex, was part of a regeneration of the gardens. With the open gardens looking over woodland, the clients wanted to zone areas pertaining to their needs, with terraces broken by low Horsham Stone-faced walls with brick soldier courses, brick edged stone paths and patios, with low-maintenance alpine planting in a feature bed the outlook from the garden room. Behind this, a pond with stone coping and stone feature further add to the aspect from the house.
A restrained mix of architectural and traditional planting lend this garden an informal yet mature feeling whilst not taking up swathes of land adding to the openness of the garden.
